City Mag is part of Graphic Design: Now in production - a major major international exhibition which explores how graphic design has broadened its reach dramatically over the past decade, expanding from a specialized profession to a widely deployed tool. The exhibition, which is currently on view at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis (until January 22nd 2012) shows design-driven magazines, newspapers, books, and posters as well as branding programs for corporations, subcultures, and nations. The exhibition's catalogue also features City Mag.

In the first edition of 2012, the new curator of the Villa Vauban city art museum, Gabriele D. Grawe, talks about her approach to exhibiting art and why she enjoys Luxembourg. We also take a look back at the year that was 2011 in a colourful four-page retrospective. Other subjects covered in the January edition include the modernisation of the city’s bus service and the temporary relocation of the Bierger Center.
